Will the plants live?

If you care for them properly, your plants will enjoy a long lifespan. While we can’t guarantee how long they will live, we’re happy to provide you with the best care instructions to help them thrive!

Will the plants grow?

Not much—some plants will stay about the same size. Others may grow a bit faster, but don’t worry—they won’t turn into towering trees in your terrarium! If any stems grow taller than you like, you can trim them with scissors. Or, if you enjoy a lush, wild look, just let the jungle grow naturally.

How long will the plants last?

Unfortunately, the plants we use don’t come with a “lifespan certificate.” Just like us humans, their longevity can’t be predicted with precision.

That said, all the plants we use are known to last a long time. On average, you can expect them to thrive for about five years, though this can vary significantly depending on care and other factors.

Are terrariums for everyone?

Terrariums are perfect for anyone who’s excited to learn about and care for plants. However, if you’ve never owned a plant or expect your terrarium to stay exactly as it was when you received it without any effort, then a terrarium may not be the right fit for you.

Why does my terrarium look different from the online photos?

While we do our best to ensure every terrarium resembles the product photos, slight to significant variations may occur. This is because plants and materials can vary due to seasonal and stock availability.

Your terrarium may also have more or fewer plants depending on the size of the plants and the shape of the container. Remember, no two terrariums are identical—they’re unique creations!

I’ve got my own container. Can you fill it with plants?

Unfortunately, we no longer offer this service. Apologies for any inconvenience!

Help! My terrarium is growing mould (white dots).

This usually happens when your terrarium is too wet. Open the lid and let it dry out for a little while. Be sure to act quickly when you notice white dots—don’t wait until the mould spreads!

To fix this, you can:

  • Use a plant-safe mould killer.
  • Introduce springtails, which are tiny, helpful creatures that naturally control mould.

Springtails can be purchased online or from your local aquarium store.
